Fallin' for Fall

Hi there. As you can see, I've been busy getting in the mood for autumn. Mom and I made caramel apples the other day, but I wouldn't eat them...you know, because they were something new! I guess I was really missing out! We made a pirate pumpkin out of Potato Head parts and took a trip to the garden shop. Our vehicle was full of flowers and straw and the straw was flying everywhere! Plus, there were some big spiders coming out of the bales! I have no pics to share of helping dad last weekend. Unfortunately, that home improvement project was rated R for language. I did help him stain the deck though (I stained it with water-wow!). School went great this week. We are learning about Fire Safety. I know how to Stop, Drop n Roll. Tomorrow, Nicole is coming to see us and then we are going to meet her and her family for lunch. Should be a fun day. Not much planned for the weekend....I'm sure I'll be put to work again!

Workin' on the Weekend

Hi there. Sorry I have been an absent blogger lately, but there has not been much news that is blog-worthy. I feared when our French adventure was done, there may not be too much excitement to share. It will probably be slow from now until baby brother comes. And he will NOT be getting his own blog...maybe I'll share mine with him. I had a good week. Mom and Dad are still busy looking at furniture and picking out things for the house. This weekend, I am helping dad install a water softener. There are blow-torches, pipes and saws, oh my! It is turning into quite the weekend project, but I'm down there for every minute of it. I'm sure there will be pics to share. And mom is finally starting to get a bit of a belly, so maybe some belly pics to share as well -- maybe! I made another friend here. His name is Dylan, he will be our new neighbor. He is one-year old and lots of fun. Good practice to have a baby around here to play with. Here are some photos of the family tree I made at school this week and just me being silly. Have a good weekend!

Les Jours des Fromages

See, even Cheese Days sounds fancy in French. I had a pretty good first festival of Cheese. Although, I refused to wear my Cheese Days shirt -- probably because I don't like yellow shirts for some reason. I had a LOT of ice cream, lots of cheese and of course, lots of candy. By the end of the parade, I was figuring out the whole begging for candy business. I had a good time seeing some family and riding the rides. Cousin Tara was nice enough to help out with me lots this weekend and took me on the Dizzy Dragon ride since mom couldn't. Mom made sure to feed herself and baby brother with plenty of cheese curds -- they are high in calcium you know! We just have the usual stuff going on this week and maybe a trip to Bloomington as well. Have a great week!

Just a couple more....

Shhh...I have a secret!

The past few days have been unexplicably busy. Mom had a Dr appt Monday and we were treated to a surprise peak at the baby. The Dr wants to do a sono every month from here on out. So I got to see it rub its eyes and kick around. And YES we also were clued in to another surprise! The tech had to write the gender down in an envelope and we couldn't open it for FIVE hours until Dad came home! I think we're going to wait to tell people in person, but I was very happy to find out what the baby is! In the meantime, here are a couple non-gender specific pics.

School went well yesterday and I drew a nice picture of my family. I did really well at gymnastics today and remembered quite a few "moves" from last week. I have quite the snazzy leotard collection building up in my room.

Tonight, we have to go look at MORE furniture....argh! And then we need to get ready for our trip to WI on Friday. It is my FIRST Cheese Days ever and I'm sure I'll have a blast. Gotta try these cheese curd things mom has been going on and on about!

Well, time for my nap. See you soon!

But I don't really think we should sell the garage....

Yesterday and today I helped mom with our garage sale. We didn't sell much and thankfully, no one bought the garage. I had better luck hocking brownies to strangers than she did selling old stuff. The brownies were from a *gasp* box *gasp*, but we didn't tell anyone. I took my brownie money and bought a new book at the store today. Mom used her money to buy a box of steaks...yuck!! Dad went to Grandma D's to fix the brakes on our car. Then tomorrow, he is watching football with Uncle D., so it is just me and mom this weekend. We rented some movies (a first!) and then went out for a little dinner. I think tomorrow we may go see the movie Cars. School went a little better Thursday. I didn't really cry, even though I stated every two minutes from the moment I got up that I did not want to go to school. I ended up having fun as usual and made some new pals.

Hope you all are having a garrooovy weekend.

Are YOU Ready for some Football?

In honor of the first day of the NFL season, I had to wear my new outfit, just for a little bit. If anything, just to make all my family in Wisconsin hang their heads in shame. You see, the football gene is predominantly inherited from the father's side of the family, so therefore I have no choice but to be a Bears fan. Sorry! Fortunately, all the important genes come from the mother's side, so don't worry. I am going to give this preschool thing another shot today. If it goes well, maybe we'll have some photos to share.

So in the words of the '86 Bears...."I ain't here to cause no trouble...I'm just here to do the SuperBowl shuffle".

Go Bears!

Gymnastics = Fantastics!

I had my first day of gymnastics today. Mom thought they would just turn 15 three-year olds loose, but the coaches really had us working hard! I did sommersaults, handstands, trampoline jumping, balance bars and even attempted a cartwheel! I didn't want to wear the fancy leotard mom bought me, so I wore shorts and a tank top and did just find. I had to listen to the teachers really well and work hard at following directions. I think this will be good for me and I'll have fun too! Mom didn't get many good pictures because she had to watch from behind the viewing glass.

Watchout, I'll be tumbling your way soon!

But I don't WANNA go to school!

Unfortunately, there are no cute pics of my first day of preschool to share. Let's just say the concept of leaving mom didn't go well with me. There was a lot of screaming, a lot of crying and a lot of tears. But can you blame me? Life has been a bit topsy-turvy these past few months. When mom came back to get me, I told her how I "love school" and made new friends named Ashley and Katie (that's too bizarre, mom has to check that out for accuracy!). I made some cool projects and had fruit loops for a snack. That's a change from France snack time for sure!

So all I have to share with you are pics from my weekend. I had a BLAST at Mr Chuck E Cheese's place and then I had fun with Nana and Papa this weekend. We did some outside work, swam at the hotel pool and of course, ate a bit too much. On Labour Day we went furniture shopping, but that was snooze-ville for me!

I mean seriously....how cute AM I?

Today was glamour shots day if you want to call it that. Mom figured it was about time to get some photos done and once the new baby comes, you know I'll probably be forgotten about. The photos here are "raw" and not the nice, touched up ones that the photographer lets you take home. The quality is poor so that way clever mom doesn't try to print them off herself. Don't fret though, mom made sure to get plenty of extras to go around. There were 80 poses to chose from that mom had to narrow down to 8! I picked out the pink dress and mom picked out the one from Aunt Debbie. The deal was if I was good, we got to go to McDonald's afterwards. I was VERY good and enjoyed my Chicken Nugs. I am excited for tonight...we are going to Chucky Cheese with my friends Katie, Erin and Nikki (They lived in France with me). Then tomorrow, we finally get to pick up mom's new SUV and then Nana and Papa come to see me for the weekend.

A bientot a tous
