2006, A Year in Pics

Started off the New Year in the USA then back to France for lots of basketball play....

In February, I was looking quite keen and working on walking with my gangsta lean

During the month of March we travelled around. Colliseums, towers and pasta were found!

April brought Easter, hiking and sun. Who knew blowing up Peeps could be so much fun!

In the month of May there were more travels for us, the Queen, the States and a double-decker bus!

Back to France for the month of June, we drove down South to play in the beaches and dunes

Our Suitcases and boxes were packed in July, with tears and excitement, we said goodbye!

In August I discovered the States are fun, too. Museums, zoos and boating were all things I could do!

I started off September at the age of 3, I went to school, gymnastics and playgroup, whoopee!

In October I worked on my backstroke; I dressed up like a tiger AND a bumble-bee, no joke!

In November I worked on the farm with my dad, Uncle Adam came back from Iraq and we were so glad!

December was all full of excitiment & snow! Christmas, parties and even Elmo!

I hope I have half this much fun in 2007!

Can You Handle the Mountain?

Well, I sure can! I had quite a bit of presents to go through from Santa, and I was very patient and hopeful that T-Rex Mountain would be there. It was even better than I ever could have imagined! Dad put it together right away and the Dino-fun hasn't stopped since. Granted, I play with it so nicely, much nicer than other little kids do. My dinos live there, take naps, swim in the pool and play. There isn't much carnage at my T-Rex Mountain. Uncle D gave me the gianormous T-Rex that growls and swerves his head to and fro. He's a little grouchy, but I am teaching him to be nice with the other Dinos. Believe it or not, there was more to Christmas than just the "Mountain". I received a bunch of other great gifts from everyone that Mom and Dad are letting me have one at a time. I had a very nice time with all my family. We spent Christmas Day at the Grandma D's and I had an absolute blast with my cousins -- so much fun that Dad and I are heading back there tomorrow to play for a couple days. Mom has a DR appt and is getting over the stomach flu which started for her on Christmas Day...blech! She has many projects to get going on, including a recap of the best pics of 06, so be on the lookout for that. Dad got a PS3 for Christmas from Uncle D and Mom got enough kitchenware to stock a 2nd kitchen....everything from coffee-pots to crock-pots to roasters to olive trays and more! HERE is a link to some more of our Christmas photos. I hope your Holiday Season was special and the New Year greets you all well.

'Twas the Night Before...

And you know the rest! I had a really nice time with my family this weekend. We drove home today to get ready for Santa's arrival. I put out the carrots and reindeer food and the cookies of course. I was SO excited to go to bed. I laid up there and sang Christmas songs for awhile. I will have more to share later. Have a very Merry Christmas!

Is it Christmas NOW? How 'bout now? Now? Right now?

The anxiety and anticipation are gradually coming to a peak these last few dragging days. Our tree seems to explode more and more everyday with presents that either A) Aren't for me OR B) I can't open yet. The torture! Actually, I've done pretty well. The roofers were here to fix a few shingles today though and I truly thought it was Santa on the roof at 10 am. Mom said they were just getting it ready so it was extra strong to hold him and his sleigh. I had a great morning at gymnastics. Mom will have to take video sometime. I really can do some cool flips on the low bar and some slick moves on the balance beam. I gave out goodie bags to all the kids in my class and saved one for myself. I took a nice long nap today so mom could finish up the baking. Tomorrow we have to fight the crowds for a couple last things and then Dad will take me out Friday to shop a bit for mom. I told her she is getting a Christmas tree for Christmas. She didn't sound that excited, maybe because we already have one? Happy Christmas Countdowning to you all...

It's about giving, and receiving, and giving and.....

I sure had a fun time at my school party today. I was looking super-cute in my new outfit from Aunt Debbie. The teachers really liked the matching leopard coat that went with it! We did some projects at school, exchanged presents and ate lots of goodies. I am still on a sugar high from all that frosting. I brought home a whole bag full of fun things: a gingerbread house I made, reindeer food, craft projects, books, candy and my first Pez dispenser. Today was my last day of school until after the New Year. I will have gymnastics tomorrow and then be done for the week. I think we're heading up to WI on Friday if Dad can get the day off work. I hope everyone's Christmas preparations are going well. See you soon!

Where's my Latte?

I have been known to have a *bit* of bedhead in the mornings....I think I inherited that from my Nana Vicki.

Really not much to blog about here! I had a great time last weekend with Grandma D. We made cookies and ate a lot of junk food and watched a lot of TV. Is it any wonder I wanted to bring her home with me? When mom complains, she tells mom that Grandma rules trump mommy rules and to deal with it! Way to go Grandma! Mom had fun in Chicago and with Nicole. Baby brother is almost 32 weeks along now and sure taking up some space.

I think we'll be making a quick trip to Wisconsin this weekend. Only 11 more days till Christmas!

10 Kids a Leaping, 9 Kids a dancing...

We had a very nice time at my Gymnastics Holiday Party today. I did a little song recital with my class and the parents even got to come in the gym to watch us do our exercises. Santa made a special visit and I was so eager to tell him that I want T-Rex Mountain for Christmas! I wasn't afraid at all. We capped off the morning with cookies and candy. I got a really cool pair of Christmas socks from the sock exchange as well. Don't worry, I am not running around nekkid out there, I have a leotard on under my shirt! I had to take my Christmas tights off though so I didn't slip and fall!

Tomorrow, Grandma and Grandpa D are coming to visit. We are going to see the festival of lights and out for dinner I am sure.

Have a great weekend!

I'll just wait here for 19 days, thanks.

So they tell me Santa will be leaving me a loot under the tree at Christmas if I am nice. Well, what I don't really understand is why everything and everyone is getting ready for Christmas and we are Christmas shopping and Christmas baking, but it isn't really Christmas yet? Mom keeps saying, "Wait till Christmas!" and I keep saying "But it is Christmas!". I enjoy my advent calendar and am really patient at only taking one piece of candy out each day and counting the days left, but I don't fully get it just yet. So, I think I will just wait here, stay out of trouble and snack on some candy canes until the Big Guy comes!

Sunny Day, Sweeping the Snow Away

I was SO happy we made it to see Sesame Street Live today. The roads were a bit scary, but Dad did a really good job driving and we made it there very safely. Bloomington is about an hour away and mostly interstate travelling. There were sure a lot of cars and trucks in the ditch from the night before though. Anyhow, we had lunch at Dad's favorite College hotspot before and then went to the show. It was really cool to see them dancing and singing. I liked to dance along and wasn't scared at all. Have a good weekend!

Disco Bert was mom's fave

Well, Hello December...

...we don't think we like you very much! What a way to start the month! I love the snow, but mom and dad don't seem to. Dad, because he has to shovel it and mom, because she has to clean up after it! It was quite a storm, our road still isn't plowed and the snow plow got stuck down the road. Our nice neighbor helped Dad out with his snowblower. I got to go out and play in it for a little bit, but there was an inch of ice under it and still pretty chilly out. I sure hope they clean up the roads tonight so we can go see Sesame Street tomorrow. Last we heard, the interstates are still not driveable. Don't worry Elmo, I will try to make it. We're going to cozy up with a movie now and snack the night away. I helped mom put presents under the tree today and was a bit disappointed to hear that they weren't all entirely for me. Oh well, time to learn about the spirit of giving! We started our advent calendar today and I am just excited that I get a piece of candy every morning for the next 24 days! Stay warm, safe and jolly!
