Bee-u-tiful!

I was so excited when I woke up today! I remembered I got to put on my costume for school as soon as I woke up. I ran around the house saying, "buzz, buzz". I am just plain giddy this morning. I love being a bee and if anyone at school is mean to me, they better watch out or I just may sting them! Later today we have a birthday party for my friend Ben. His birthday is on Halloween so he gets candy AND presents, lucky duck! Have a great day, I need to go buzz off.

Pumpkin time

Hi. I had fun today. We carved my pumpkin and put him outside. He was VERY spooky! It was daddy's first time carving a pumpkin and he did a good job. I helped mommy make pumpkin cookies and then I watched Charlie Brown's Great Pumpkin show. Before bed, we drew on the windows and made a scary witch and frankenstein. I really like Halloween and I have two parties to go to later this week. I will post a picture of my costume tomorrow. My mommy finally updated the website with some new pictures. I heard from Nana that aunt Corrie is sick with our cold. I hope she is feeling better soon and we're sorry she got sick. I know how yucky that feels. Have a Spook-tacular day!

A WHAT kiss?

Last night I had lots of fun at Addie's house. Mommy and daddy went to a Halloween Party. Daddy was a construction worker and mommy was a French Kiss. I don't get it. I thought she was an iron, or maybe a rocket. Oh well, she looked silly. Today, I think we'll carve our pumpkins. I'll try to remember to have mommy take a picture. I am wearing my costume to school tomorrow. Yay!

I'm Baaaack

Bonjour a tous! I had a nice time in Paris, even if I was sick for most of it! Mommy and I can't seem to get better. I went up the Eiffel Tower, to Versailles and down the Champ Elysees. I really liked riding on the train the best. My mommy took Nana and Corrie to the airport today. I was sad to wake up and see they were gone, but I know I will see them in December. Today we are going on a mission to find carving pumpkins. Mommy and Daddy have a costume party tomorrow night, so I am excited to go play at Addie's house. The beret I am wearing is part of mommy's costume. I will have her put pictures of it here later. Mommy also will try to put pictures from the Paris trip on the website if she gets time later. She needs a nap after taking them to the airport at 4:30 am! I suppose I can let her sleep today. A bientot! Katherine

Horray!

Horray, my family is here! We've been having lots of fun. It is so nice to have people to play with. Grandma brought me some new toys and aunt Corrie bought me a new toy at the mall yesterday. I like to pretend I am sleeping in Corrie's bed and hide in her room. I'm so glad they came all this way to see me!

Spinning 'round

I had a very fun day today. I went to the park to meet my friend Addie. We played on the toys, looked at some fish and rode the Carousel. I am still too little to ride by myself, so my mommy goes with me, even though it makes her a little dizzy. It goes really fast!! Afterwards, we came home and warmed up, it was chilly out there today! A bientot! ~Katherine

I love Fall

Hi Everyone. Today it is so beautiful outside. It is nice and crisp and the leaves are so pretty. I was able to play outside for a little bit after lunch. My daddy comes home today, I am very excited to see him. I am also excited for Grandma and Aunt Corrie to come next Thursday. Have a good weekend!

New toy, same old Mommy

Hi! Today was like an early Christmas for me. I must have been good, because mommy took me to every toy store in town to find a dollhouse. I ended up with a talking Dora house. It speaks French AND English and it is really loud! Unfortunately, mommy didn't realize it comes with NO furniture, so she has to order that. Boy, she must love me lots, or love shopping; probably both. I sure hope I get all the additions for the house from Santa (hint, hint). Since I don't have much in my house, I'm pretty creative about putting my animals in there and making them Dora's pets. I had to miss school yesterday because I wasn't feeling well, but I am much better today. Maybe if mommy is feeling better, we'll go to the park today.

Rollin' and Strollin'

Hi! Hope you had a good weekend. The weather here was really beautiful! Perfect fall weather. I had my friends Gabi and Ben over Saturday night. We played really nicely together. Gabi liked pushing me around in my baby stroller. I liked the extra attention! I have a cold today, so I'm not feeling too well. Hopefully I can still go to school tomorrow. I have to help daddy get ready for his trip tomorrow. He is going to Belgium for the week. I will miss him a lot, but hopefully he will remember to bring us back some chocolates. My mommy and I have lots to do this week, so it should go fast and daddy will be back in no time at all. See you later! ~Katherine

Play-Doh Time

Hi everyone. Hope you are enjoying fall! We sure are. The weather is really nice and cool and I love to eat apples, and apple cake, and apple crisp and apple everything! They don't have canned pumpkin here, so pretty soon my mom will have to start cooking fresh pumpkin to make treats with. Today, I went to school and had a really fun day. I went to the potty twice by myself without anyone asking me. My Franglish is getting pretty good. I say "Au-Bye" "Merci-you" and a few other words mommy hasn't figured out yet. After my nap, mom and I played with my Play-doh and my new farm animals. I LOVE animals, especially pigs. Mommy says we're coming for a visit the middle of December now. The Katherine Express

Hi Everyone. My daddy is back, yay! He made it back today from Greece and brought the camera back with him. He had lots of fun with Grandma and Grandpa D. I skipped my nap and stayed up to see him. It is great to have him back. My mommy will try to put pictures from his trip on the website soon. Mommy and I had fun keeping busy all week. We went and bought 2 new fish. I named them "fish" and "fish". I sure hope they live longer than the last ones! We also went to my friend Addie's house and to the park lots of times. Today, we made a train out of a box and I had fun chug-a-chuggin' around the house all afternoon. I like to put all my buddies in it and tool around. I think tomorrow we are just going to hang out and spend time with daddy. He has to leave again for Belgium in a week, so I want to see as much of him as I can.
