Another year older and all the more wiser....

HERE
are some pics from my party Saturday and HERE are ones from yesterday - they are kinda mixed up between the two albums, but you can figure it out. I had a great day and was so happy that some of my family came to visit me yesterday. I had pineapple cake for lunch and ice cream for dinner dessert (and a sugar high all day)! Today it is back to life as usual and starting my responsibilities as a 3yr old! Wish me luck!

Frosting Hangover

I don't have any pics from my party, they are all on Nana's camera and I will get them on Tuesday. I had a good time, despite the rain and was so happy all my family ventured out in the horrible weather to hang out with us in the shelter house. I am back home now and fully-consumed with all my gifts. The castle aunt Corrie gave me fits perfectly in our upstairs landing. Today mom and I are going to cook and clean to get ready for tomorrow when Nana, Papa Miller and Betty come to visit. In the meantime, we have plenty of cake to get us by until my real birthday, tomorrow!

ABC-ya!

Uh...I think we need a bigger house....

For all these boxes! Just kidding, I bet we'll find room. Our stuff came yesterday and appears to be in good shape so far. We have to keep lots in the garage until the basement is finished off. Mom is going to work on getting my room put together today. Her and I went shopping while dad and the movers did the hard work. Then I came back and helped put stuff in its new home. We still have some new furniture to get, but this house is slowly starting to look like a home. When I saw it all here, I said "Hooray, Katherine's house is here"! That's the first time I called it my house, so I guess I'm warming up to this place after all.

Whoa, what a mess!

Heh, heh...look what dad left out, Oreos!

Fossils and Fun

Mom took me to the Lakeview Museum the other day. It wasn't on the same level as some of the other museums we've seen lately, but it was still fun. They had a nice discovery area for me and a special exhibit on dinosaur eggs. I really loved to see the fossils of baby dinos and the fossilized eggs. They had a couple movies on dino babies and some fun hands on areas to pretend we were digging for eggs. Best of all, we visited the gift shop and I found a new friend I named Terry the Triceratops. He's squishy and strechy and hasn't left my side in 3 days!

Giant Pin Pad

Yay, air!

Hmmm...wonder where the baby dino went?

Don't Label Me!

Someone needs to take away mom's label machine; things are getting a bit out of hand! I had a pretty good weekend. My Grandma and Grandpa D came to visit on Saturday. We hung around here and then took them out to dinner. Grandma and I had fun coloring and playing with the new duck she bought me. On Sunday, dad put me to work! I helped him around the house. Mom had a list for him a mile long and he sure got a lot done. Mom finally found some window treatments for upstairs. We STILL don't have a new car. We almost bought a van Thursday night, but mom chickened out at the last minute and decided she wasn't ready. So now we're back to looking at SUVs. Hopefully, we'll have something in a couple days. Today, we're going to the Party Supply Store to get some things for my upcoming party! Our sea shipment is supposed to come this week also, so it is going to be busy around here.

Giddy Up!

Hi. Sorry it took me so long to post about my weekend, but mom was busy yesterday and I was too. I had a nice time at Nana's house and it went really fast! I really liked the zoo and the dinosaur exhibit was pretty cool. I also had my first pony ride ever. His name was Doc and he was the biggest one of the bunch, but I did great. We were quite tired by the end of the day. I also got to play at the park and spend some time with the rest of my family. It is so nice to be just a car ride away rather than a whole trip over the ocean! Yesterday, my friend Addie from France came over for the morning. They are on their home leave right now and stopped by to say hi. It was nice to see her, but Addie and I tend to bicker a bit because we know each other so well. After lunch, it was definitely time for everyone to say goodbye! I have my pre-school doctor appt today and I'm not sure what the rest of the week holds.

Mommy - 1, Katherine - 598,342

I'm usually on my toes, but today, mom slipped one right past me. Imagine how excited I was to find out we were making brownies! I must have had a brownie-haze clouding my instincts because those brownies were laced with something.....spinach! What's that you say? Spinach? Yup, spinach. Clever mom found a recipe for spinach brownies and I didn't even know the green slimey stuff was in there! She was laughing after I ate it and told me why. Oh well, I still ate them & will probably eat some more!

As you can also see, my duck collection is growing. We have squeaky baby, mommy, daddy (he's British) and yesterday we bought "Giant". I think mom felt a bit bad about the brownie stunt and was easily talked into it. I like to jump on him and make him squeak!

We'll see what surprises today holds. I sure hope my toys make it here like they are supposed to!

What did you just say I ate?

Now I Know my ABCs

I'm getting pretty good at my tracing book. At first, I didn't want to trace or write any letters, but now I like to learn one or two at a time. I can write Es, Fs, Ts, As and Hs. We're learning lowercase letters now and I just about have them all down except a few tricky ones.

Only a few more days till the dinosaur exhibit at the Milwaukee zoo! I am so excited. Our air shipment will be arriving tomorrow which consists of my toys, our PC/printer and some clothes. The sea shipment still won't be here till the end of the month. Today, I have to go run errands with mom...again! Oh laa, laa.....

Criss Cross Applesauce

Something about applesauce just makes me a little goofy.

Say Hello to my Little Friend

Finally, I can break some big news around here. I know there has been a leak so to say (ahem, Nana Vicki), but in case some of you don't know, I am happy to say that in early February, I will have a brother or sister! Mom is 13 weeks pregnant and everything is going fine. I have gotten to see two ultrasounds of the baby and it is so cool. I like to see it's little hands and feet and say it's waving at me. I call it a "he", and so does mom, but we'll find out for sure in a few weeks. I really understand that I am going to have a sibling and am always talking about the baby. Mom is feeling fine and is relieved that things are going well.

In other news....I had a great weekend. I went to my first movie ever. I saw the new Barnyard movie. It was pretty cute, but I thought it was more cool just to be in that giant theater with a giant bucket of popcorn on my lap! Mom and Dad are still looking at cars and getting stuff done around the house.

Mom found her USB cable, so here are a few pics from a week ago.

If her head wasn't attached...

Mommy can't find her USB cable to upload her pics of me, so that's why posting has been slow. She will continue to search for it, but until then, you'll just have to imagine how cute I am.

Everything is going well here. The rental furniture came on Monday and we started living in the house Tuesday night. We dug a few things out of our storage boxes to make it feel a little more like home. We've been pretty busy each day just running around and getting essentials....you know, like FOOD, garbage cans and black sheets for the windows. Mom can't seem to decide on window treatments, so we're going goth for now.

I like the house, but I still call it the "new house" and ask where Katherine's house is and where the mountains are. I think it will feel much more like home once our "stuff" gets here in a few weeks.

My birthday invites will be sent out this weekend. Stay tuned and check back....more news to come soon~
