Fabulous Fargo

Ok, actually we were in Minnesota, but we flew into Fargo, so that should count. We had a great trip. It went by so quickly. Our friends showed us a very nice time. We went to a pottery painting studio one night, I painted a pink and purple dragon! The next day we went to a gymnastics studio with all sorts of cool stuff to do like trampolines, foam block pits and swinging ropes. We mostly just hung around the house. I had fun playing with Lauren, she kept calling me "that kid", "Marilyn" and her friend. Mom had fun helping out with Baby Saul and just hanging out and chatting with Leah. I also helped with Saul, I held him a lot and got some good smiles out of him!

We flew back on Sunday, it went to fast. Our flights were mostly ok. The one back to Chicago was crazy bumpy though with the wind gusts over the lake. We were delayed a bit and made our flight to Peoria by ten minutes, but our suitcase did not :(. Although it showed up later that night. So all in all a great trip. Hopefully we'll see them again soon.

I have a busy weekend coming up. Mom and I have a Brownie Lock-In at the church from 4pm Friday until 11am Saturday! Ugh! Mom is not super-excited. I wonder why? What's not fun about being locked in with 30 2nd graders and their Moms, not to mention sleeping in tight quarters with no showers available....should be a wild time!

Ta ta for now. Hopefully we make it out alive tomorrow!

Goin' to Fargo Dont'cha Know?

Hello there, friends. As some of you know, Mom and I are flying to Fargo tonight! We'll actually be staying just across the border in Minnesota, but we will fly into in Fargo. Mom is excited to hear some good Northern accents and freeze her tucus off. Actually, we really are super-excited to see the Anderson family and meet their new addition. They've been up 'der for 4 years now and we've yet to visit, so we're long overdue. It should be a quick flight to Chicago, an even quicker layover and then a 2hr flight to Fargo. The weather there is supposed to be in the mid 40's with no snow, so it should be fairly comfortable. I'm excited to fly in a plane again and it will be nice for Mom and I to have some time together, just the two of us. I am off school this week because of Veteran's Day and conferences, so the timing is perfect. Hard to believe it was two years ago this week that we went to Disney! Time to go back, right?

Speaking of conferences, mine went well. I'm in the highest reading group and my teacher had lots of praise for me. I still space out from time to time and need reminders to follow directions, but Mom hears this every fall from each teacher and usually by the Holidays, I'm on track. Just takes me awhile to get in a routine, I guess. Both the teacher and her aide had a lot of super things to say about the way I treat others, my manners and my kindness. That made Mom very proud!

Old Mom had another birthday yesterday. It was a pretty quiet day. Chinese takeout, a trip to the gym and German Chocolate cake after (guess she wanted to replace all those calories burned at the gym)!

So Bon Voyage! Maybe I'll be able to post on my trip. I'm sure they have internet in the Great North, ya think?

Later!

Tricks and Treats

Ok, no actual tricks really. Our Halloween went very smoothly. We had a costume party/contest at the Fire Dept on Saturday. The week prior, we went around town getting our village "Monopoly Board" stamped. At each business, we earn a stamp on the board, get to draw some pretend money out of a bucket and get some candy. On Saturday, we were able to turn in our money for prizes at the fire department, Zach and I collected 233 monopoly dollars which we traded for various junkie prizes and candy! On Sunday, we went trick our treating with our neighbors and had pizza with them. Baby Briggs Elvis was pretty cute. Their cousin, Brady came along and he is my age. I really like him a lot. We did just a small part of our neighborhood but we got plenty of candy and the weather wasn't too chilly at all. Mom helped at Zach's Halloween party earlier in the week (he was a Minion from the Despicible Me movie), I had my party last Friday, but we aren't allowed to dress up :(

Other than that, things are pretty tame here. Fluffy is doing well, she is huge! She's very feisty now, she loves to nip and bat at us. She's a little rough, but we're working on that.

That's all for now. Hope you had a spooktacular Halloween!
